Lauren is a Licensed Professional Counselor; Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist Associate; Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist through National Guild of Hypnotists and National Board of  Certified Clinical Hypnotherapists;    Employee Assistant Specialist-Clinical, Accredited Parenting Consultant for Triple P, a world acclaimed, evidenced-based positive parenting program for every parent; she is also a Certified Eating Disorder Intuitive Therapist through  EDIT™ a treatment approach developed by Dr. Dorie McCubbrey, MSEd, PhD, LPC, CEDS – utilized in clinical practice for more than 20 years.  Lauren specializes in co-occuring disorders in teens and adults struggling with problems related to identity, transition, addictions, adult with history of childhood trauma, mood disorders, stress, relationship issues, eating disorders, as well transitions and problems of everyday life.

"You are unique and diverse, and you offer something wonderful to the world" is the perspective that Lauren holds of each person that she encounters in and out of sessions. To meet the needs of diverse individuals, Lauren’s therapeutic style is Eclectic and  Transtheoretical. Lauren adheres to the RESPECTFUL community counseling paradigm. Lauren has a passion and expertise in multicultural and cross cultural relationship-building and supports community members in sharing truths to facilitate and promote community dialogue, healing love and/ or respect. Lauren has received several awards in a variety of work environments for program development in community building activities. A huge part of her success is love and respect of collaborative energy to achieve sustainable change.

Lauren completed her undergraduate degree in Human Relations (Sociology and Psychology) and graduate degree in Community Counseling at Trinity University, Washington, DC.  During those rich educational experiences, Lauren worked full-time in and out of the home, and understands the challenges of busy hardworking individuals.
